Karen Tynan – Singing and Drama Teacher

Cork native Karen graduated from the prestigious London Studio Centre with a BA honours degree in Theatre/Dance. From there, she began her career working as a professional singer, actor and dancer performing on international platforms and renowned cruise liners. Her TV credits include: Penny Dreadful-HBO, Showboaters-Sky 1 and numerous TV adverts. Karen has recorded 2 albums with London based Rusch Media label and has performed as a guest artist for many shows including Bob Dylan Tour @ The Marque and the American singer and record producer ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic @ Vicar Street. Some of her Theatre credits include: Women of the Ireland US Tour as lead Singer; UK Abba Tour; Grease-Rizzo; Aladdin-Jasmine; The Rocky Horror Show-Janet; Hairspray-Tammy; The June Rodgers Show and many more. Karen continues to work professionally within the industry. Most recently as deputy lead singer for one of Irelands most popular 90’s cover band Smash Hits and performed for ‘Laochra-The GAA commemorates 1916’ in Croke Park which aired on TG4 earlier this year.
